Last night as we prepared to celebrate the new year, my six-year-old daughter asked, “Which year comes after Christmas?”

“2021,” I said.

She didn't like that answer, so she kept repeating the question, getting more and more upset each time my wife and I said “2021.”  She even started crying.

My wife eventually figured out that what our daughter meant to ask was, “What's the next candy holiday after Christmas?” the asnwer to which is Valentine's Day.
