Mom's “LSD”

Posted:

My mom was an elementary school librarian, from the day I entered Kindergarten, until she in recent years retired.

There was a time when my mom took a sack lunch to work.  Every day she saved and reused that brown, paper bag, which carried her initials prominently in large, black writing:  “LS.”

One day I added another letter to her bag:  “D.”

It took a couple of weeks before my mom noticed that she was taking a bag of “LSD” to work.  She came home kind of mad at me that day.
