At work we had a discussion on Slack chat about Asian seafood that started off with me mentioning that my foreign exchange student from Thailand was filling my freezer with new kinds of food like potato & fish sausage corn dogs. Z.W. mentioned getting dried, spiced monkfish by his visit to the Asian market. J.S. posted a picture of a flat, blobby fish and asked, “Like...THIS monk fish?”
“Well it didn't look like that when I ate it 🤣,” replied Z.W. “It looked more like this.” He jokingly posted a picture of a fisherman holding up a very large, freshly caught monk fish with its toothy maw agape.
“You sure it didn't look like this?” I said, and posted the following picture.
